Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using QuizMaster. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of QuizMaster, a web-based Quiz Management System developed by students of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Methodist College of Engineering & Technology (MCET), Hyderabad, affiliated with Osmania University.
These Terms apply to all users, including but not limited to: administrators, faculty members, students, and other authorized personnel of affiliated educational institutions.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
2.1 Eligibility Requirements
To use QuizMaster, you must:
- Be a currently enrolled student, faculty member, or authorized staff of an educational institution affiliated with Osmania University (primarily MCET, Hyderabad).
- Be at least 17 years of age (or the minimum age required by your institution's policies).
- Have a valid institutional email address or Google account registered in our system.
- Agree to comply with your institution's academic integrity policies and code of conduct.
2.2 Account Registration
Accounts are created and managed by institutional administrators. You may not:
- Create an account using false, misleading, or impersonated information.
- Share your login credentials with any other person.
- Allow others to access your account or attempt to access another user's account.
- Register multiple accounts for the same individual.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Role-Based Permissions
QuizMaster enforces strict role-based access control. Your permissions are determined by your assigned role:

Attempting to access features or data outside your role's permissions constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
4. Academic Integrity & Quiz Conduct
4.1 Student Responsibilities
When attempting quizzes on QuizMaster, you agree to:
- Complete quizzes independently unless explicitly instructed otherwise by faculty.
- Not use unauthorized resources, collaborate with others, or seek external assistance during timed assessments.
- Not attempt to circumvent security measures including Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), timer controls, or attempt restrictions.
- Not share quiz questions, answers, or content with others before or after the assessment window.
- Report any technical issues or suspected malpractice to faculty immediately.
4.2 Faculty Responsibilities
When creating and managing quizzes, faculty agree to:
- Ensure quiz content aligns with institutional curriculum and academic standards.
- Set appropriate time limits and scheduling that accommodates student needs.
- Use the platform solely for legitimate academic assessment purposes.
- Maintain confidentiality of quiz content before scheduled release.
- Review and grade assessments fairly and in accordance with institutional policies.
5. Intellectual Property
QuizMaster Platform: The QuizMaster software, including its code, design, user interface, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of the QuizMaster Project Team, Department of CSE, MCET. It is provided for educational use under this academic project.
Quiz Content: Questions, answers, explanations, and other assessment materials created by faculty remain the intellectual property of the creator and/or the institution. Students are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to view and respond to quiz content solely for the purpose of academic assessment.
Prohibited Uses: You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any part of the QuizMaster platform without explicit written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the platform.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from QuizMaster using automated tools.
- Use quiz content for commercial purposes, publication, or distribution outside your academic program.
6. Security & Prohibited Activities
To maintain platform integrity and fairness, you agree NOT to:
- Attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, or security controls (including 2FA, session validation, or role checks).
- Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to interact with the platform (except for approved institutional integrations).
- Launch denial-of-service attacks, inject malicious code, or attempt to disrupt service availability.
- Exploit vulnerabilities or security flaws; instead, report them responsibly to support@kushalreddy.me.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with QuizMaster or MCET.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code through profile photos or other upload features.
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of local, state, national, or international law.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension, termination, and referral to institutional authorities.
7. Modifications to Service & Terms
7.1 Platform Changes
QuizMaster is an academic project under active development. We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time without notice.
- Update the platform to fix bugs, improve security, or add new functionality.
- Change hosting infrastructure, database schema, or authentication methods as needed.
While we strive to minimize disruption, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated when feasible.
7.2 Terms Updates
We may revise these Terms periodically. When we do, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
- Post the revised Terms on the platform.
- For material changes affecting user rights, provide notice via dashboard announcement or email where feasible.
Your continued use of QuizMaster after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Please review this page periodically.
8. Termination
By You: You may stop using QuizMaster at any time by simply not logging in. To request account deletion, contact your institutional administrator or email support@kushalreddy.me.
By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to QuizMaster, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms or your institution's academic policies.
- Suspected fraud, malpractice, or unauthorized access attempts.
- Prolonged inactivity (e.g., no login for one academic year).
- Graduation, withdrawal, or change in institutional affiliation.
- Technical necessity, security concerns, or project conclusion.
Upon termination, your right to use QuizMaster ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) shall survive.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
9.1 "As Is" Service
QuizMaster is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis for educational purposes. As an academic mini-project, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the platform.
- Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of quiz content, scores, or reports.
- Compatibility with all devices, browsers, or network conditions.
- Recovery of data lost due to technical issues, user error, or hosting limitations.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the QuizMaster Project Team, MCET, and Osmania University shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of data, grades, academic standing, or educational opportunities.
- Claims arising from your use or inability to use the platform.
Important: QuizMaster is a student academic project. While we strive for reliability, it is not a production-grade commercial system. Critical academic decisions should not rely solely on this platform without institutional verification.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of QuizMaster shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
This project is developed under the academic supervision of Methodist College of Engineering & Technology, affiliated with Osmania University. Institutional policies and Osmania University regulations supersede these Terms where applicable.
11. Entire Agreement & Contact
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and your institution's academic policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and the QuizMaster Project Team regarding your use of the platform.
