General Terms of Use
Applicable to all users — Admin, Faculty and Students
domainPlatform Overview
  • check_circleQuizManager is the official online assessment platform of Methodist College of Engineering and Technology (MCET), Hyderabad.
  • check_circleAccess is restricted exclusively to currently enrolled students, active faculty members, and authorised administrative staff of MCET.
  • check_circleAll users must read and accept these terms before accessing the platform.
  • check_circleThe institution reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance.
lock_personAccount & Credentials
  • check_circleEach user is assigned a unique account. Sharing login credentials with any third party is strictly prohibited.
  • check_circleUsers are solely responsible for all activity performed under their account.
  • check_circleAccounts found to be compromised must be reported immediately to the IT/Admin department.
  • check_circleMCET reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its discretion without prior notice.
securityData & Privacy
  • check_circleAll data submitted on this platform — including quiz responses, scores, and personal information — is the property of MCET.
  • check_circlePersonal information is handled in accordance with applicable data protection norms and will not be shared with external parties without consent.
  • check_circleAcademic data (scores, performance reports) may be shared with relevant faculty, HODs, and administration for evaluation purposes.
  • check_circleAttempting to access, alter, or delete another user's data is a serious violation and will lead to disciplinary action.

Violation of general terms may result in immediate account suspension, disciplinary proceedings under MCET's Student/Staff Code of Conduct, and/or escalation to the Principal's office.

Administrator Terms & Responsibilities
For authorised system administrators only

  • check_circleAdministrator accounts are granted only to designated staff members authorised by the Principal or Head of Department.
  • check_circleAdmin access must not be delegated, shared, or transferred to any other individual under any circumstances.
  • check_circleAll administrative actions are logged and auditable. Admins acknowledge that their activities on the platform are monitored.
  • check_circleAdmin privileges must be used solely for the management and operation of the platform — any other use is a violation.
datasetData Management
  • check_circleAdmins are responsible for the accuracy of data entered into the system, including student records, faculty assignments, courses, branches, and sections.
  • check_circleDeletion or modification of records must follow the official approval process from the concerned HOD or Principal.
  • check_circleAdmins must not manipulate quiz scores, attempt records, or student performance data in any unauthorised manner.
  • check_circleRoutine backups of the database must be maintained as per the institution's IT policy.
policyCompliance
  • check_circleAdmins must comply with all directives issued by MCET management regarding platform operations.
  • check_circleAny security breach, data loss, or system vulnerability discovered must be reported immediately to the IT Department and Principal.
  • check_circleMisuse of administrative privileges is a serious misconduct offence and may result in termination of employment and legal action.

Faculty Terms & Responsibilities
For teaching staff who create and manage quizzes
quizQuiz Creation & Management
  • check_circleFaculty members may create quizzes only for subjects assigned to them in the current academic semester.
  • check_circleAll quiz content must be relevant, accurate, and aligned with the approved syllabus prescribed by JNTUH / MCET.
  • check_circleQuestions must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language of any kind.
  • check_circleQuiz schedules must be set at least 24 hours in advance to allow students adequate preparation time.
  • check_circleFaculty must not alter or delete a quiz after students have begun attempting it.
  • check_circleCorrect answers must be verified before publishing. Errors discovered after publishing must be reported to the Admin for correction.
gradingEvaluation & Reporting
  • check_circleFaculty are responsible for reviewing quiz performance reports and communicating results to students within 48 hours of the quiz window closing.
  • check_circleScore tampering, manipulation of attempt records, or providing unfair advantage to any student is strictly prohibited and constitutes gross misconduct.
  • check_circlePerformance data must be used only for academic evaluation. Sharing student data with external parties is not permitted.
  • check_circleFaculty must not share quiz question papers or correct answers with students before or during the quiz.
verifiedProfessional Conduct
  • check_circleFaculty must maintain professional integrity and impartiality in all assessment activities.
  • check_circleUse of the platform for purposes unrelated to academic assessment is not permitted.
  • check_circleFaculty must report any suspected academic dishonesty by students to the HOD immediately.

Violation of faculty terms will be treated as professional misconduct under MCET's Staff Code of Conduct and may result in suspension of platform access, written notice, or escalation to the Principal.

Student Terms & Responsibilities
For all enrolled students of MCET
assignmentQuiz Participation
  • check_circleStudents may attempt each quiz only once. Multiple attempts are not permitted under any circumstance.
  • check_circleStudents must ensure a stable internet connection before beginning a quiz. Technical issues on the student's end are not grounds for a re-attempt.
  • check_circleRefreshing the browser, using the back button, or navigating away from the quiz page during an active session is strictly prohibited.
  • check_circleEach question must be answered before proceeding to the next. Questions cannot be skipped.
  • check_circleOnce the quiz is submitted, answers cannot be changed or reviewed for modification.
  • check_circleStudents must not share quiz questions, answer options, or any quiz content with others before or after their attempt.
no_cellAcademic Integrity
  • check_circleUse of mobile phones, smart devices, books, notes, or any other reference material during a quiz is strictly prohibited.
  • check_circleSeeking assistance from any person during the quiz — whether in-person or through digital communication — constitutes malpractice.
  • check_circleStudents must not use screen-sharing tools, remote desktop software, or browser extensions to assist with answers.
  • check_circleAttempting to log in with another student's credentials or allowing another person to take the quiz on your behalf is a violation of academic policy.
  • check_circleMCET reserves the right to investigate any suspicious activity and may invalidate results where malpractice is suspected.
timerTime & Scheduling
  • check_circleQuizzes are only accessible within the scheduled date and time window. Students who miss the window will not be granted an extension.
  • check_circleIf the quiz timer expires, the system will automatically submit the student's current responses.
  • check_circleStudents are advised to start the quiz at least 5 minutes before the scheduled end time to avoid auto-submission with incomplete answers.

Any form of malpractice, dishonesty, or violation of student terms will result in immediate disqualification from the quiz, a zero score, disciplinary action under MCET's Student Code of Conduct, and may be reported to the HOD and Principal. Repeat offences may result in suspension or termination of enrolment.

Applies to all roles — violations are treated seriously
  • do_not_disturb_onAttempting to hack, exploit, or compromise the security of the platform will be treated as a criminal offence and reported to appropriate authorities.
  • do_not_disturb_onHarassment, abuse, or inappropriate conduct towards any user through or related to this platform will not be tolerated.
  • do_not_disturb_onAny attempt to impersonate another user, including staff or students, is a disciplinary offence.
  • do_not_disturb_onSpreading misinformation about the platform, its results, or other users is prohibited.
  • do_not_disturb_onMCET reserves the right to take legal action against users who cause financial, reputational, or academic damage to the institution through misuse of this platform.
  • do_not_disturb_onAll disciplinary proceedings will follow the Methodist College of Engineering and Technology's official disciplinary policy as defined in the Student/Staff Handbook.
